Create a Cover for To Kill a Mockingbird (1 person)
Throughout the years, since its publishing date of 1960, To Kill a Mockingbird’s “book cover” has taken the shape of various artistic interpretations. For this project you will be designing your own cover for To Kill a Mockingbird. In your design you must include themes, elements or images of the novel. The cover must be relevant and creative in expressing the ideas of the novel. The cover can integrate a key quotation from the novel if you choose, too! Create a cover that relates best to the key lessons that you draw from this novel. You will be graded on creativity, neatness, and authenticity. Moreover, it must include your name, author and title on the cover. Your book cover must be developed on an 11” by 17” scale. You can mount your poster on a sheet of cardboard for support, or use foam board should it be necessary due to the weight. On the backside of your art, include explanations for your choices.
