Scene Rewrite

TKAM Scene Rewrite

Select a minor character from the story and then select one of the listed events.  Write a first person narrative from the point-of-view of your selected character (500-600 word max/limit).

Carefully consider what you know about your selected character (social status, education, race, gender, profession, personality, family background, biases, etc.) and how s/he would respond and what s/he would have to say about the event you have selected.  How does your character know about the event?  Was s/he there to witness it firsthand? Did s/he hear about it from someone else, and if so, who might have been talking about it and why?  Did s/he overhear gossip?  How does your character feel about the event?  Be sure to reference thoughts, feelings, opinions and pertinent details that help create your character’s “voice” for his/her personal narrative about the event.
