Maupassant was very famous for his stories, he wrote about 300 stories from the time of 1880 and 1890.Guy was famous and liked to add twist endings to his stories but he didn't add them to all his stories.Maupassant first published first in french in a newspaper called “Le Gaulois.”
The main character in the story is a middle class lady that greaves unnecessarily, she also is married to a minor clerk of the ministry Education. She is also very jealous of her friend that has everything that she doesn't have have.
