The three types of Irony
This clip from the "Big Bang Theory" is a clear example of dramatic irony. The person in space is oblivious to the fact that his face was treated like a page of loose-leaf. Yet the girl and all the viewers see the doodles.
This scene is from one of the best chick-flicks of all time, "She's the Man". The main character, Viola Hastings, expects the man in the shadows to be Channing Tatum when it is really just the groundskeeper, this is an example of situational irony because she expect's it to be one person and it is another.
In this scene Belle tells Gaston she doesn't want to marry him and makes witty remarks, one exemplifying verbal irony. When Gaston mentions their future life together Belle say's "imagine that", an example of saying one thing and meaning the other.
